The successor to the Governor's Bay Bridge Run is the annual Across the Bay 10K, which started in November 2014. The sixth largest 10K in the United States, the 2019 race will not be run on the Bridge, but will be a virtual run as the Bridge will be undergoing maintenance at that time. Also in November, various "turkey trot" races are scheduled for Thanksgiving Day or after.
